About the Summit Organizer
- Dr. Parsa had been involved in third Generation Partnership
Project (3GPP) activities for the past four years.
- Originator, co-inventor and the key contributor to the design
and specification of GBT's Common Packet Channel (CPCH) technology
in UMTS. Dr. Parsa was one of the architects of the Wideband Packet
CDMA RTT, which was jointly submitted to ITU in January 2000 by
American standard bodies TR46.1 and T1P1.5. He led the merger
of WP-CDMA and W-CDMA on behalf of T1P1.5 and TR46.1.
- Published more than 30 papers on the W-CDMA capacity optimizations
and wireless data.
- Holds more than 10 pending and issued patents ion the W-CDMA
and UMTS system.
- Heads his own consulting firm.
